Access Control List (ACL)
The traditional UNIX file protection provides read, write and execute permission for three user classes: owner, group and other.
ACLs can provide greater control over file permissions.
An ACL enables you to define file permissions for the owner, the owner's group, other specific users and groups, and default permissions for each of those categories.
Two utilities are provided to check (getfacl), and to set (setfacl) in Solaris 2.6+.
